Our Mission
To provide auxiliary communications services to Pender County area public safety, government, community organizations as a redundant resource during events and disasters, as well providing opportunities for licensed amateur radio operators to receive training and information necessary to fulfill these needs.
Get Involved
Pender AUXCOMM is seeking volunteers who can be available during emergencies, are skilled in the use of amateur radio for emergency communications, have a strong understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS), can work effectively within the ICS structure, and are quick to adapt in changing environments.
Training may be available to those who lack qualifications and experience but are interested in getting involved.
Everyone is welcome to join Pender AUXCOMM as a member, even if they do not wish to operate a station during an emergency.
